Actually, Clara only wants to spend one evening as a babysitter for a wealthy family in their house when her mobile phone notifies her of a new Instagram follower - who cannot be easily shaken off. When Clara calls her boyfriend Patrick for help, the situation just gets worse.

Jury statement:
The final scene of a horror film is interrupted by a porn commercial. A conversation on WhatsApp begins. A house in the dark, a huge golden harp stands in the brightly lit window, a girl babysitting. Unsuspectingly she sends her location through orbit, posts photos on lnstagram, has a new follower ... and the uncanny is entering the everyday.
One of the many remarkable features of FOLLOWER is that it never succumbs to the temptation to make more of itself than it is. It never leaves the surface of the smartphone and yet we follow the two main characters up close, experiencing their fear first hand. The means of the genre are skilfully explored and the mixture of psychological threat and physical horror comes to life: Less is often more. Chapeau!
